Flooding


Following the recent flooding in Rome, the metro remains closed. You should plan to use buses or taxis during your visit this week.

If you were planning to visit the Colosseum Undeground, it looks like you may be out of luck on this occasion. This part of the Colosseum endured substantial rainfall and is quite dangerous, so remains closed to the public. As it was about to close for the winter anyway on November 1st, it now looks increasingly likely that no further visits will be possible in 2011.
