The Vatican Museum Collection, which is 500 years old, is one of the largest in the world, with over 1200 galleries.
In any one visit, you will only get a glimpse of its many treasures, but on our tour you will get a detailed insight into the history of the collections, while seeing the major masterpieces.
Your guide will tell you the history of the museum collections, where and how they were acquired,
and about the Popes who collected and commissioned them.
Among the many treasures you will see are the famous and inspiring Laocoon statue, the Belvdere Torso, the tapestries from the Scuola Nuova of Raphael, the 16th century frescoes of maps of Italy, the statues of the gallery of the Candelabra and the apartments of Renaissance Popes, frescoed by Raphael for Pope Julius II with some of his greatest masterpieces, including the School of Athens.

We take a break for refreshments before continuing on with a visit to the Sistine Chapel.
Before entering your guide will explain in detail the history and the controversy of the decoration of this chapel by Michelangelo and other masters.

For groups of more than 4 people, each person receives a discount of €5, and a further €5 is discounted if the group comprises of 9 or more people. On no occasion will our groups exceed 12 people*.
*not including small children, who are free
