Important info

  • IDs: Only required if your tour includes a ticketed site (for example, the Pantheon). In that case, each visitor must bring an original passport, driver’s licence or national ID. First & last names must match the ticket; middle names are not required. No photocopies.
  • Meeting point: A convenient spot in central Rome – usually a main square or landmark near your first stops. Once we know your route and where you’re staying, we’ll confirm the exact meeting point in your message.
  • Security: If your tour includes ticketed sites, there are quick airport-style security checks. You may wait briefly with others booked for the same time slot.
  • Bags: Small day-bags only. We recommend leaving large backpacks at your accommodation.
  • Shoes & water: Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a refillable bottle – Rome’s public fountains have safe drinking water.
  • Accessibility: Rome’s streets can be uneven and cobbled, with some slopes and steps. Tell us about any mobility needs in advance and we’ll adapt the route and pace.
  • About “skip-the-line”: In Rome there are no magic queue-jump passes. When tickets are included (e.g., Pantheon), entry is by named, timed reservations. You enter at your reserved time; only the security check is shared with others.

How customisation works

After you request your date, we’ll follow up by WhatsApp or email to fine-tune the tour to your pace and interests. Prefer a classic highlights walk, more time in Trastevere or the Jewish Ghetto, or a mix of hidden corners and famous squares? Tell us what you enjoy and any must-see spots and we’ll shape the route and timing around you.

We’ll also confirm whether your tour will include any ticketed sites (for example, the Pantheon) and the final price before you pay.

FAQs

How much walking is involved?

A typical city tour is about 3 hours at an easy pace, with plenty of stops for photos, short breaks and questions. We can keep the route compact if you prefer less walking, or stretch it a little if you like to cover more ground. If you’re booking the golf cart tour, most of the time is spent riding, with only short walks at the stops.

Can we adjust the route or focus?

Yes. When you request your date, use the message box to tell us what you’re most interested in – for example “more time in Trastevere”, “food and local life”, “Jewish history”, or “main highlights only”. We’ll follow up personally by WhatsApp or email to suggest a route and fine-tune it with you before we confirm.

Can we choose our start time?

Within our daily schedule, yes. Many guests like an early-morning start for quieter streets and softer light, while others prefer a late-afternoon or evening walk when the city lights come on. Tell us your preferred time when you request your date and we’ll confirm what’s possible.

Are tickets included and do we “skip the line”?

Tickets are not automatically included on city tours. If you’d like to add a ticketed site such as the Pantheon, we’ll confirm availability and cost before you pay. In Rome there are no magic “skip-the-line” passes – entry is by named, timed reservations. You enter at your reserved time; the only line you may share with others is the standard security check.
