Custom Private Tour (Design Your Day)

Design your perfect private tour of Rome. Tell us your must-sees, interests, and pace; we’ll shape a bespoke route with an optional licensed driver for door-to-door comfort.
Not sure what to include?
Send your date, group size, and what you’d love to see — we’ll reply with a quick recommendation and customise the route to you.
No pressure, just friendly planning.
How it works
- Tell us your wish-list, pace, and whether you want a driver.
- We propose a route, timings, and price.
- You approve; we secure any timed-entry tickets.
- Final details and meeting point shared by email/WhatsApp.
What we need from you
- Date and preferred start time.
- Number of adults and children (with ages).
- Must-see sights or areas of interest.
- Pace preferences (easy / standard / in-depth).
- Mobility notes (stroller, wheelchair, steps, long walks).
- Meeting point preference or hotel/apartment address (if requesting a driver).
- Any special interests (art, food, photography, churches, archaeology, shopping).
Transport options
- Meet on site (no driver): we confirm an easy central meeting point; we walk between nearby stops and, if needed, use short taxi rides paid locally.
- Private driver (van): door-to-door service with a licensed NCC. Service covers the tour duration within Rome; final fee is confirmed on approval and subject to availability.
Pace & mobility
We tailor the route and walking time to your group. Let us know about strollers, wheelchairs, or any mobility considerations so we can plan smoother paths, extra rests, or a driver where helpful.
Pricing
- Guiding & planning: €130/hour (combined), 3-hour minimum.
- Driver (van) in city: from €55/hour; out-of-city trips are quoted case-by-case.
- Tickets: we arrange required site tickets and add them to your quote at face value (no markup). If you already hold tickets, we’ll adjust the quote.
- Final price is confirmed on approval before anything is charged.
- We’ll send a clear proposal with inclusions, timings, and total.
What’s included
- Private, English-speaking expert guide.
- Bespoke itinerary design and scheduling.
- Timed-entry tickets arranged by us and included in your quote at face value.
- Driver (van) if selected.
What’s not included
- Food and drinks.

Important ticket note
Many Rome sites use timed, named reservations. Every visitor must bring original photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or national ID), and the names on the tickets must match the IDs shown at entry.
What’s possible on request
- Add extra time or an additional stop (e.g., coastal viewpoints, Appian Way photo stops).
- Lunch reservations at a trusted trattoria or seaside restaurant.
- Vehicle upgrades (larger van) or child seats.
- Route adjustments for mobility needs or kid-friendly pacing.
- Earlier/later start to match your schedule.
Special requests depend on guide and driver availability, site hours and traffic. We’ll confirm what’s possible and any price change before you pay.
FAQs
How long should we book?
Most custom days run 3–8 hours. The minimum guiding time is 3 hours. We’ll tailor pace and content around your group (kids, seniors, mobility needs) and confirm the best duration before you approve.
Should we add a private driver or meet on site?
Private driver (van): door-to-door comfort and fastest transfers when sites are far apart.
Meet on site (no driver): we confirm an easy central meeting point and walk between nearby stops; short taxi hops (if needed) are paid locally. We’ll advise which suits your plan and budget.
Are tickets included?
Yes. We arrange timed-entry tickets at face value and include them in your quote. If you already hold tickets, we’ll adjust the price.
What names do you need for tickets?
For sites like the Colosseum, Vatican, and Pantheon, tickets are name-specific. Provide first and last names exactly as on the ID you’ll bring. Middle names aren’t required. Each visitor must carry original photo ID (passport, driver’s licence, or national ID).
Is this “skip-the-line”?
“Skip-the-line” is outdated marketing. Entry uses named, timed-reservation tickets. You enter at your slot; the only line is standard security screening, which everyone passes through.
Can we start at our hotel/apartment?
With private driver: yes—door-to-door pick-up and drop-off.
Meet on site: we’ll use convenient meeting points near the first stop (hotel pick-up isn’t offered without a driver).
How does pricing work?
Guiding & planning is €130/hour (combined), 3-hour minimum. In-city driver service typically starts from €55/hour; out-of-city routes are quoted case-by-case. Tickets are added at face value. Final price is confirmed on approval before anything is charged.
What about mobility, strollers, or wheelchairs?
We’ll shape a route with minimal steps and smooth surfaces. A private driver (or golf cart where applicable) reduces walking between distant sites. Tell us your needs and we’ll adapt.
Are tips expected?
Tipping in Italy is discretionary. If you feel your guide/driver delivered outstanding service, a small, optional thank-you is appreciated—but it’s never required.
