Your guide will set the scene and transport you back in time to the lively atmosphere of Ancient Rome.Your guide will explain the history of the arena and the amazing feats that took place there – all while you stand on the same spot as emperors, gladiators and the Roman mobs that packed the Colosseum.

From here, your guide will take you through the Roman Forum, which was the center of politics as well as public life in Ancient Rome. Your guide will show you how Romans spent their daily lives coming and going from the Forum. The highlight of this tour point is your guide taking you to the areas in which notable historical events took place – including Julius Caesar’s funeral, when Marc Antony delivered his famous eulogy.

  • Palatine Hill Guided Walking Tour:

The Palatine Hill has strong connections to the founding of Rome almost 3000 years ago. It eventually became the home to the nobility of the Roman Republic before becoming the site on which the palaces of the Roman Emperors would be built. The ruins of these eras can still be seen today, as the modern archaeological leaders continue to make new and exciting discoveries – even to this day.

Walk on the same pathways as Julius Caesar and get the complete guide to Ancient Rome’s wealthiest citizens as your make your way to the top of Palatine Hill. Here, you’ll have awe-inspiring views of the Forum and Colosseum as your tour guide lets you in on the secrets of the rich and famous, as your meander your way through the ruins of their extravagant villas.

* Note: The Palatine Hill involves walking up some steps, and currently there are unfortunately no ramps provided to reach the top, so it is not possible for wheelchairs or child strollers.

Duration: 30 minutes                          Tour Fee: €50 for first two people, €5 per person after that

  • Historic Centre Guided Walking Tour:

On this stroll through Rome’s historic centre you will cross paths with locals going about their busy days, while you visit some of the most important emblems of the city.

The Pantheon is the oldest-surviving temple from Imperial Rome, standing un-restored for over 18 centuries.

Piazza Navona is Rome’s most elongated piazza and also its most ornate – with decorative fountains and a church from the baroque era. It also hides a delightful surprise beneath it!

The Trevi Fountain is probably Rome’s most iconic fountain and is a must-see for those with romance in their hearts! This monument also has a surprising connection to Rome’s ancient past.

The Spanish Steps complete this visit to the historic center of Rome and provides yet another opportunity for a special photograph.

Duration: 1.5 hours                          Tour Fee: €150 for first two people, €20 per person after that
