Went on the Colosseum tour including the underground section and the Forum. Our guide Nic was brilliant. A deep knowledge of history and architecture that he was very willing to share. I walked with him most of the way peppering him with questions and he added much depth and colour to my amateur historian understanding. Excellent value for what you get!

I highly recommend every aspect of Real Rome Tours. I started dealing with Gerard months before our trip to Rome, I was looking to book tours for the Colosseum Underground and the Vatican for a large group (20-25). Immediately. Gerard said that they could definitely accommodate us for the Vatican, but that a group our size would have incredible difficulty booking the Underground Colosseum tour based on The way the Colosseum releases the tickets. He was upfront and honest, and some members of our group that felt strongly about the “underground” booked separately with another company and, just as Gerard predicted, their tour with a different company was cancelled 2 days prior.
Heidi was our very lovely and informative guide for the Vatican Tour. There was constant communication from Gerard the morning of our tour until he knew that we successfully found Heidi and we’re on our way. The beauty of the Vatican speaks for its self, but we loved our time with Heidi and her vast knowledge.

Absolutely incredible private tour of the Colosseum and Underground, and Roman Forum with Max, our tour guide. Despite the sweltering heat, he was patient and kind enough to spend over four hours with us, treating us to a history lesson that spanned from Ancient Rome to Mussolini’s Italy and WWII. Max made sure we were hydrated and comfortable throughout and answered every question with an encyclopedic knowledge of events. Totally worth your time to book this tour and request Max, if you’re lucky! A highlight of our time in Rome, for sure. Thank you to Gerard for clear, upfront information and great communication, too.
