Your three-hour Ancient Rome experience

Your guide leads a considered visit through three connected parts of the ancient city. Depending on the timed Colosseum admission and site access, the tour may begin inside the Colosseum or follow the route in reverse.

The Colosseum

Enter the Colosseum with standard admission and explore its first and second levels with your guide. The visit places the amphitheatre in its historical context and explains how the building and its spectacles worked.

The Roman Forum

Continue through the Roman Forum for a substantial guided exploration of its monuments, public spaces and role in Roman life. This tour is designed to give the Forum meaningful attention rather than treating it as a brief walk-through.

The Palatine Hill

Finish with guided highlights on the Palatine Hill, including its history and significant viewpoints. The route and order may vary according to admission times and site arrangements; independent access after the guided tour is not promised.

Pricing

€595 total for 1–2 guests. Each additional adult is €35; each additional child aged 5–17 is €20. Infants aged 0–4 are free. The maximum group size is 8 participants, including children and infants.

For all-adult groups, the total is €595 for 2 guests, €665 for 4, €735 for 6 and €805 for 8.

Required admission tickets and private licensed guiding are included. Arena and Underground access are separate experiences and are not checkout upgrades for this tour.

Planning to visit Ancient Rome in 2027?

Planning early gives us a better opportunity to arrange suitable standard admission tickets and an experienced private guide. Standard tickets are generally easier to obtain than Arena or Underground admission, but dates and entry times are not guaranteed until arrangements are secured. All requests remain subject to ticket and guide availability.

2027 advance booking requests are not yet available. We will update this page when the request process is ready. All requests will remain subject to guide and ticket availability; a request does not guarantee a tour or entry time.

Meeting point and practical information

Meet at the Casa dell’Acqua ACEA green kiosk, outside Metro B Colosseo at the lower Metro level. Open the meeting point in Google Maps. Please be at the meeting point ready to begin at the confirmed time.

Bring the original photo ID used for ticketed entry. Enter each guest’s first and last names exactly as shown on that ID; middle names are not required. Timed admission does not remove standard security checks.

This is an active walking tour over historic streets and uneven ancient surfaces. Note relevant accessibility needs or firm timing limits in the booking request so we can advise on practical pacing within the established itinerary.

Booking requests remain pending until reviewed and accepted after ticket and guide availability has been checked. Submitting a request does not automatically confirm the tour or charge a payment.
