Your semi-private Ancient Rome walk
Begin in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, then enter the Colosseum at your reserved timed slot, including Arena Floor access via the Gladiator’s Gate.
This is a well-paced highlights route designed to cover the key Ancient Rome sites in a small group of no more than 6, with plenty of room for questions, photos, and direct interaction with your guide.

Why a max of 6
A smaller group keeps the experience personal, easier to follow, and better paced across the Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum.
Practical notes
- Entry is by reserved timed ticket in your name. There is no separate ticket queue, but everyone passes through standard security.
- All visitors must bring original photo ID. The first and last name on the booking must match the ID shown on the day.
- Small bags only; large backpacks are not permitted.
- Surfaces can be uneven, so comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended. Bring water, especially in warmer months.

FAQs
Why do you start in the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill?
This route lets us begin in areas that are often quieter earlier in the day, then reach the Colosseum for our reserved Arena entry time later in the tour.
How big is the group and what language is the tour in?
Maximum 6 guests, one language (English) with a licensed guide.
Can we stay longer in the Colosseum after the tour?
Full Experience tickets allow a maximum of 90 minutes inside the Colosseum from the timed entry. Our itinerary uses the full 90 minutes (10:30–12:00), so the group exits together with the guide at the end of the tour. Re-entry isn’t possible, and it’s not possible to go back into the Roman Forum/Palatine after entering the Colosseum (one entrance only).
Can we skip Palatine Hill or adjust the focus?
Because this is a small shared group, the route is fixed: Colosseum interior with Arena Floor, then Roman Forum highlights and Palatine area overview. If you want a customised pace or content, we recommend our private version.
Are tickets included and do we “skip the line”?
Yes—named, timed-entry tickets are included. Rome sites use timed reservations; there is no ticket queue. Everyone passes the standard security check, so a short wait with others booked for the same time is normal. Each visitor must bring original photo ID; first and last names must match the ticket. Radios are included.
Is this a highlights tour or an in-depth tour?
This is a well-paced highlights experience covering the key must-sees across the Roman Forum/Palatine and the Colosseum + Arena Floor in about 3 hours. If you’d like a deeper focus on one area (Forum/Palatine only, or Colosseum only), a private tour is the best fit.
Do you use headsets/radios on this tour?
Because the group is very small, they are not always necessary. They may be used whenever helpful, and can also be arranged in advance if preferred.
